Граничный коммутатор корпоративного класса – стекируемый 10/100 коммутатор, который предоставляет бесперебойные соединения и обеспечивает эффективность применения. Коммутаторы серии A обеспечивают многоуровневую классификацию пакетов и организацию очередей с приоритетами для дифференцированных служб. Кроме пропускающей способности матрицы равной 17,6 Гбит/с, коммутатор A4 имеет до 48 портов 10/100 Ethernet, а также 4 порта восходящей связи Gigabit Ethernet. Благодаря возможности стекирования, в один стек можно соединить до 8 коммутаторов A4. Полученный виртуальный коммутатор обеспечивает пропускную способность равную 140,8 Гбит/с и имеет до 384 портов 10/100 Ethernet, а также 16 портов восходящей связи Gigabit Ethernet.
